I'm a brand launch guy. Branding has been 100% of my focus and passion for 25 years. I've been a key strategic player in more than 300 new brand launches. I've helped 75 brands be successfully acquired with 9 going public. I consider myself a street smart branding professional stuffed with creative thinking. MicroArts is built on the proven brand launch principles distilled from my experience and that of my 20-plus mentors. I have been working in various financial management positions for over 20 years. As agency manager at MicroArts, I am in charge of all financial and administrative matters. While that may sound boring to most people, I find comfort in taking care of things and people. I have been through many changes with MicroArts and there is one thing that stands out as a constantthe people define the company. We have talented, interesting and curious people who love to do great work.

I'm really enthusiastic about brand building and the creative story telling elements that help establish points of differentiation for brands. I believe that having a compelling story and telling it the right way can make all the difference in connecting a brand with the right consumers. Change is inevitable in the marketplace and that's a good thing, but it's what you do to effect change that can have a real impact. I tell stories. People love stories. I particularly enjoy telling other people's stories, which is why I spent 10 years as a journalist before joining MicroArts. Any brand worth mentioning is built on a foundational story that inspires its audience. Sometimes my characters are pet owners. Other times it's a cancer patient, hockey player or lover of fine chocolates. Building a winning brand is about understanding what drives people. I love creating. For me, being creative is as much a need as it is a vocation. If I'm not drawing, painting, animating, designing or whatever, I get anxious ... I need my fix. Being a visual designer affords me that luxury on a daily basis. I relish the challenges of design in the ever-changing landscape, the competitiveness and the evolving technology. They all keep it fresh and exciting. It needs to look good, but it also needs to function, communicate and resonate. Yes ... it's hard, but it's fun!

I have always had a passion for building things. When I was younger I would build log homes out of Lincoln Logs, forts out of cardboard boxes and spend countless hours drawing plans for the golf courses I wanted to create. Over the years my focus has shifted from building physical to digital things, which has provided me with the opportunity to work with amazing people and amazing brands. I've been attracted to creative arts my whole life. As a designer, I love the opportunity to get to work with a variety of different materials daily to create art, whether it is on the web or in print. I love the challenge of finding the right color, the right shape or the right pairing to strike a targeted emotion within someone. I am a designer. I take people's thoughts and ideas and try to represent them visually. There is a certain joy when you are able to take someone's visions and bring them to life. It's even more rewarding when I'm able to produce creative that exceed their expectations! If I wasn't a designer, I think I would be a carpenter. It would be another way for me to get the creative juices flowing. Plus ... I would be able to use power tools and that would be awesome.

I'm always on the lookout for something new, whether it's a new book to read, recipe to try, or city to plan a weekend road trip to, which is why a creative agency is the perfect place to call home. Every day is different. In a single day I might be brainstorming names for a developing brand, leading a marketing strategy meeting and working with a client to design a new Facebook contest. My role as an Account Manager combines my education in advertising, background in creating brand experiences and affinity for color-coded binders.

By the time I was ready to go to college, I had changed directions so I spread my wings and pursued a degree in Business and Marketing. As an account manager I combine my passion for design and my experience in brand research with a polished gift of gab (a.k.a. "people skills") to fulfill my clients' needs.
